“Driving is a privilege, not a right.” You may have heard this over and over when you were a young, beginner driver. According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, 226, 571 car accidents occurred in the state of North Carolina in 2014. This number is dramatically high not to consider what basic insurance coverage is included in your auto insurance plan. Here are some basic ideas that you should keep in mind when designing your auto insurance plan.
Collision Coverage– Collision coverage pays for damages t your car when your car hits, or is hit by, another vehicle or other object
Bodily Injury liability- Bodily injury liability provides protection if you injure or kill someone while operating your car. If a lawsuit is filled against you, it also provides legal defense.
Property damage liability- Property damage liability protects you and your car if you damage someone else’s property. Also, if a lawsuit is filed against you, it protects you with legal defense.

These are just three of six coverage’s that you can add to your auto policy. Auto policies can range from six months to a year.
